Eventually, we turn inland, trading the ocean breeze for the arid, dramatic landscapes of the Supe Valley. The visual contrast here is striking: a lush, vibrant green ribbon of agricultural land cutting directly through the pale, unforgiving desert.
• Entering the Sacred City: A Landscape of Pyramids Upon arriving at the archaeological site, the sheer scale of Caral reveals itself. Spread across a sweeping desert terrace, you will see a meticulously planned city encompassing six large pyramids, residential complexes, and sprawling public plazas.
